Announcements 2/18/24

We need your gifts and talents at River Valley! Especially if you are full of energy and can wrangle a class full of busy boys we need a lead teacher and one assistant in our preschool room.  Unfortunately, in one week, we will be without a teacher in that room.  So, if you are feeling led, please fill out that serve with us form here or contact Nicole Fine our Director of Children’s Ministries. 

We also need musicians, sound booth help and middle school group leaders.  If you are ready to jump in, fill out the serve with us form here orcomplete a paper copy that can be found around the church and turn in to the River Valley office.

Food to Go and Grow- Donations of granola and pancakes and syrup are needed for an upcoming food bag distribution on Thursday February 29^th.  The reserves of these items are very low.  Donations can be placed on the shelves in the welcome center lobby or the connection center.  Volunteers are also needed to pack food bags on Thursday February 29^th.  If interested, please sign up in the connection center!

-Safe Families Book Drive- February 11^th-March 10^th- Safe Families is having a book drive from February 11^th-March 10^th.  Donated books should be for ages 4-12.  Please place books in boxes in Welcome Center lobby. All of the donated books will be prizes during the Book Bingo event at the Watertown Public Library on March 19^th from 5-7pm.

Thank you River Valley! You donated 90 pairs of socks, 76 pairs of undies and several sweatshirts.  The total amount collected across the participating Watertown churches was 1,074 pairs of socks, 1,216 pairs of undies plus many sweatshirts, pants and mittens.  Thank you for helping students stay warm and dry this winter.
