Announcements 10/20/24

-Snack Donations- Many Sunday mornings our families with young kids are rushing and running to get to church. There’s outfits to be picked out, shoes to be put on, Bibles and diaper bags to be remembered... Ope! Pretty sure we forgot to feed the kids! You might remember the struggle. We’ve been providing some small snacks to the kids and would like to seek your support in the way of a Sunday snack collection! Here are a few items that store well:  Goldfish Crackers, Cereal, Crackers, Cereal Bars, Granola Bars, Dried fruit, Cookies, Pretzels and Puff Corn.

-River Valley Senior Adults-Come join us for a special program this Tuesday, October 22nd 12pm-2:30pm in the River Valley lower level. The program will be, “Mystery items from the past” and their stories, presented by Joan Johnson. Our speaker will be showing some intriguing items from bygone days. Come hear the stories they tell and bring a dish to share.

-Prayer Breakfast-You’re invited to a prayer breakfast to pray for our international workers on Saturday, October 26th at 8:30am in the Lower Level of River Valley. Please RSVP in the Connection Center so we can plan on food.

 -Chili Cook Off- Chili chefs listen up! We will be having a chili cook off on Sunday, October 27^th from 3:30-6:30pm at Ed and Emily Yaresh’s farm.  Donations of cornbread and desserts are welcome. See you there!

 -Christmas Shoeboxes- This Sunday begins our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Project. Please consider taking a box(es) home to fill with the suggested items and prayerfully pack. All filled boxes need to be returned by Sunday, November 17th, so they can be sent to their final destinations around the world for children to receive. The $10 shipping will also help track your box to know what country the child lives in who receives your gift. This is an excellent way to share the Gospel! There will also be a shoebox packing party on November 1st at River Valley from 6:00 pm -7:30 pm for all ages. More details can be found on the River Valley Facebook Page.
