What is discovery land?
Discovery Land is our children's Sunday School program. Your kids will have a blast while learning God's word through a hands-on discovery, and truly enjoy their Bible lessons as we bring the Bible to life.
Discovery Land is a year-round program offered from age 3 - grade 5. Bible knowledge, hands-on-learning, and life application will keep your child's attention as they grow in their relationship with God and with one another. Your child will 'travel' through the Bible every 3 years.
What happens at discovery land?
Discovery Land is broken down into 3 main segments to keep your child moving and engaged.
Worship
We begin our hour in an energized atmosphere of large group worship led by our teen worship leaders.
Discovery Time
We then divide up into grades where we take the Bible point for the day, and see it come to life through a hands-on experience. Not only will we walk away with the truth of God's Word, we will EXPERIENCE it! Kids will rotate through different stations, including food at the Garden of Eat'n, Legos in building challenges, painting in our art station, creating masterpieces in our Play-Doh station, or digging for hidden treasures in our sand box!
Bible Classroom Time
We finish in our classrooms digging deep into the Word of God. Students not only experience the Bible being brought to life, but are challenged to apply the truths they learn each week to their own lives.
Preschool
Your preschooler will have so much fun during Discovery Land. Your child will 'discover eternal treasures' as we bring the Bible to life each Sunday at an age-appropriate level. Preschoolers take part in all the same hands-on discoveries as the 'big kids' do.
Our preschoolers stay engaged as they jump and dance during worship time, they hear Bible-lessons from "Tracker" our puppet, take an active role in our Bible story for the day, and experience a hands-on discovery that brings the Bible lesson to life!
Safety
All students 5th grade and under must be picked up by an adult in their classrooms. To ensure your child's safety, older siblings are NOT allowed to pick up students.
We screen and do background checks on all children's ministry staff and volunteers for your child's protection.
